MATCH DETAILS

NEW: 22 Long Range Match, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024

($10 cash fee, all monies awarded to shooters)

48 Shot Match – Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 & 3, 2024
6 targets, 8 shots each, different targets each day
(scored from the line only)
Steel Targets in various shapes, sizes and ranges

(from 220 to 870 yards)

  • ANY Single Shot or Lever Action Rifle
    (single loaded at all times)
  • ANY Caliber .375 or larger / Cast Bullets Only
  • ANY Safe Powder Charge:
    Black Powder
    Duplex (up to 10% smokeless powder) OR
    Smokeless (will compete for medals only, not trophies)
  • ANY Position: Sitting, Prone or Cross-sticks
    (No Backrests, No Sighters, No Foulers)

9 Bays, 2 Shooters per bay with spotters, maximum 36 shooters
Ties will be broken by most off-hand hits, then by most hits on furthest target until all targets are used, and then by shoot-off

Range will be available for practice on Wednesday after setup, plus Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. Main Match will be held Saturday and Sunday at 9 am, following a brief safety meeting and position assignment.

CAMPING
Dry Camping available (absolutely no fires)

You must be self-contained. Bring food, water, tents, trailers.
No electrical, water hookups or dump stations. Porta-potties will be available.
You may bring campers in on Tuesday. Contact Wally Pinjuv prior to doing so.


PRACTICE DAY & SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Parking on the hill is limited to 10 minutes for loading and unloading
  • Register and Sign the Range Liability Waiver Form before shooting
  • Eye and Ear Protection are REQUIRED, per DSRPC and NRA rules
  • Obtain shooting position and squad information from match director
  • Range is open 8 am until 6 pm (subject to modification by director)
  • Targets will be painted at 9 am, and as needed. Volunteers appreciated
  • No one is authorized to go downrange without approval of match director
  • RSO will be Wally Pinjuv and two others as appointed
  • Firearms will NOT be handled during target painting or any cease fire
  • An OBI or blow tube, ramrod, etc. MUST be placed in chamber when moving the firearm
  • In case of malfunction, squib or other problem, call for a cease fire and we will safely remedy the situation before resuming the match
  • If you patch, pick them up and keep the range clean
  • Space is limited, so please work with the other shooters
